Objective
The goal of Rat Pack is to teach people about the world of dumpster diving, there is a lot of confusion surrounding the legality of the practice, and our goal is to help people realize there is a correct way to dumpster dive. The practice offers a new resource to those who are willing to look and take home items that have been abandoned. It is a sustainable practice and keeps items that still have life out of the landfill.

Solution
The solution needed to make the act of dumpster diving appealing. It needed to be fun and colorful but not lie that it is still a very unclean activity. It also needed to span multiple media to keep it accessible for when you are on the go and run into a problem you need an answer to. To solve that problem Rat Pack has been turned into a small booklet that can be easily carried, and a mobile app for when you don’t have your book. Another way we have tuned into our audience is to find a way for the active divers to have a way to communicate. This is important so that they have a way to signal the good and the bad things about an area.
